Jump Rope Unit
Eisenhower Elementary
Students at Eisenhower have been working on jump roping this month in their physical education classes. During the unit, students were asked to work in groups and come up with a jump rope routine. Ottumwa Schools will release at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 29 to allow the district to make up the professional development time that was missed on February 8 due to inclement weather.


Bulldog Cafe February 17

The Ottumwa High School Bulldog Café will serve lunch on Friday, February 17. The cafe, located outside room 212, will serve lunch at 11 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and noon. The menu will include chipotle marinated chicken, mango rice, vegetable stir fry, Hawaiian dessert, and a beverage for $6. Students Earn I Ratings at State Speech Contest

Ottumwa state speech competitors swept the Iowa High School Large Group Southeast State Contest on Saturday with every entry receiving a Division I rating. For the second year, the MathCounts team at Evans Middle School has qualified for state competition. The team placed second in regional competition, with Keokuk taking first place honors. Students Perform in Simpson Honor Band

The Ottumwa 7th/8th grade basketball games with Ft. Madison that were postponed on January 12 have been re-scheduled for February 13. The 7th grade girls game verses Ft. Madison will be held at Evans Middle School at 4:30 p.m. The 8th boys basketball game verses Ft. Madison will be at Ft. Madison at 4:30 p.m.
