BOUNDARY DESCRIPTION:  The northern boundary of James Elementary is a westward extension of Carter Avenue from Highway 63 to the city limits.  The eastward boundary runs south on Highway 63 to Maple Street, east on Maple to North Court and south on North Court to the river.  James is bordered on the south by the Des Moines River and on the west by the city limits.  Students on both sides of Maple attend Horace Mann Elementary.  Students on both sides of North Court between Maple and the Des Moines River shall attend James Elementary.  Rural students shall be served by the James bus route.  James Elementary will serve as an attendance center for those rural students who live in that area which has been outlined on the Wapello County map.
